Stylish Seafood at Sevruga Restaurant

Sevruga is a very well-known lunch spot in Cape Town (I'm sure you've seen the who's who in the Mother City enjoying a meal here either in person or on social media) and it's not hard to believe why. This stylish restaurant offers beautiful views of the V&A Waterfront Harbour and of course they are known for their incredible seafood, cocktails and stylish decor.
Sevruga recently had a bit of a face-lift and now offers an intimate indoor seating option, with an American walnut bar counter and solid wooden floors as well as semi-outdoor seating, for more of a relaxed feel, that boasts natural light and outdoor plants.

We chose the perfect summer's day in Cape Town to try out some of Sevruga's signature dishes and it was a gourmet feast! If you're a seafood person - the rest of this article will be right up your alley.
STARTERS:

Steamed Fresh West Coast Black Mussels
White Wine, Saffron, Onion, Garlic, Herbs, Cream and Toasted Focaccia

Seared Scallops
Cauliflower Puree, Crème Fraiche, Anchovy, Caper Berries and Salmon Roe
This was the favourite starter at the table - the scallops were cooked perfectly and the cauliflower is a great combination with it!

Prawn Tempura, Creamy Seven Spice Prawn, Spring Onion and Teriyaki Glaze
MAINS:
As mentioned, Sevruga is the perfect spot for delicious seafood and the Sea Food Selection for ONE was perfect for two people (it's a lot of food!) It's also a great way to get a taste of the different items on the menu and comes with incredible side dishes! Feast your eyes on this amazing platter:

Sea Food Selection for One
Black West Coast Mussels, Pan Fried Calamari Tubes, Pan Fried Garlic & Chilli Prawns and Langoustines/Mozambique Deep Sea Crayfish

This platter is perfectly paired with a glass of Graham Beck Brut Rose
If you are more of a "Surf & Turf" person, they do an incredibly delicious beef fillet as well.
Beef Fillet
Wilted Baby Spinach, Truffle Mushroom Sauce, Ricotta Gnocchi, Potato Puree and Exotic Marinated Mushrooms
The fillet iis a great option for meat lovers and the sauce is out of this world - defnitely worth a try if you're not going to try the seafood.
Now everyone's favourite part...
