Red Carpet Concepts Goes Big for Charity
14 February 2012
Red Carpet Concepts hosts a charity fashion show every year for the past three years, and this year the charity went to Dermalogica's joinFITE initiative with a cheque of R16 000.
On arrival all 500 guests were greeted with amazing goodie bags and got to mingle with the crowd while drinking cocktails from Thin Lizzy, Pongracz, Bernini, Peroni, Gordon's Gin and Vitamin Water.

Two of SA’s biggest personalities, Elana Africa and Katlego Maboe entertained the guests before and during the big fashion show. Everyone awaited to see the latest fashion and couture ranges some of South-Africa’s top designers had to offer, and while waiting, Carol Thorn created a dramatic yet glamorous vibe with the help of her beautiful red chello.

All of the designers (KLuK , Port, Stefania Morland, Jagadi and a fresh new designer on the scene, Joanna Hedley, with BeachCult) had something in their collections that stood out from a couture gown to a fabulous wedding dress – the standard was definitely on an international level and I was very proud seeing that our South-African designers can give someone like D&G a run for their money.

An amazing way to end off the night included a lucky draw where one lucky lady had the chance to win diamond chandelier earrings from Aphrodite worth R 65 000.00 (congratulations to Mpume Maphumulo for being that special winner!)
Congratulations to the Red Carpet Concepts team for creating such a stunning event for such a meaningful cause. Cannot wait to see what you have in store for us next year.
“I’m considering doing a winter show later this year. As the show keeps growing I look forward to being able to keep giving more back to charity.”
