For those of you who have not had a fine dining experience at Pigalle Restaurant, make sure to make it a part of your foodie bucket list as it was hands down one of the most amazing 3 course dinners I have had in a very long time!
Pigalle Restaurant has started a new food experience called SUPPERCLUB which is all about great cuisine paired with delicious cocktails and live entertainment to make it a night to remember. We were invited to the Johnnie Walker whisky pairing for our SUPPERCLUB and live entertainment by Original Swimming Party and it truely was a gourmet experience.
Pigalle Restaurant has a 3 course dinner like no other as every course has 3 amazing options to choose from and even suggest the best paired cocktail to compliment your meal. For starters, I had Beef Trinchado which is tender beef cubes served with a tangy, lightly spiced sauce and it was paired with Johnnie Walker Apple Cooler.
Ritza had the Prawn Cocktail with looked as beautiful as it tasted with prawns, avocado and beetroot topped with their homemade cocktail sauce. This starter went perfectly with the Johnnie Walker Gold Label and Orange.
Main course was very difficult to choose from as every dish looked sublime! I chose the Platter of Queen Prawns served with savoury rice and grilled vegetables and it was great with my Johnnie Walker Apple Cooler.
Ritza had the Grilled Beef Fillet served with mushroom sauce, potato fondant and grilled vegetables that also complimented the Johnnie Walker Apple Cooler perfectly.
No matter what is on the menu for dessert, if Chocolate Fondant is on the menu, we will always choose that no matter how devine all the other desserts look and this was no exception! The Chocolate Fondant with vanilla ice cream was delicious and went perfectly with the Johnnie Walker Citrus Gold.
Pigalle Restaurant will be hosting these Supperclub evenings every second Thursday (which is this coming Thursday so don't forget to make your bookings!) and I think this is extremely well priced for the quality of the food and of course the ambience of Pigalle Restaurant at a mere R290 per person which includes your meal, whisky pairing and live entertainment.
