Most ladies can only dream to have the Carrie Bradshaw walk in closet where you can see all the clothing, everything is organised perfectly and it is fun to get dressed up. I find that most women have to organise their closets regularly just to make space or to make it look better and this way you forget about items that you bought and it limits your style and it is not very cost effective.
Here are some helpful hints on how to organise your closet to make it more effective and to make sure you get maximum out of your clothes.
- The four seasons of the year play a big role in your fashion choices. If you have limited space in your closet, pack away your summer clothes in winter and visa versa. Even if it is in a big suitcase under your bed!
- Organise your closet according to your lifestyle for example all your work clothes together, casual together and evening wear together. This will make it easy to get dressed for any occasion.
- Most women don't have time in the morning to think about what they will wear to work and this causes an even bigger mess trying to throw something together so I suggest that you style your outfits on a hanger the way you like to wear it, so you can just grab it from your wardrobe and get dressed in a jiffy.
- From experience in Ritza's closet, shoes are always a disaster. Trying to find the other shoe, looking for the perfect pair under a pile of shoes can be very annyoing and also ruin your pricy heels. Try organising them by putting them in see through containers with a photo of each pair facing you. Then you can just grab the box with the right pair - no throwing shoes all over the place!
These steps will help in creating a more comfortable and manageable wardrobe and will definitely make a difference! Try them for yourself and see how you start enjoying dressing up!
