Good Food And Wine Show Experience 2012

What better way to spend your Saturday than to enjoy gourmet food and some of South Africa's finest wines... It has been one of the biggest food "hypes" the past couple of weeks and that is why LUXO had to go check it out to see what it was all about and it was definitely one of the biggest (and most delicious) food festivals I've attended in a long time!

Besides fashion, amazing food and wine is the second best thing to happen to me...I love how creative and stylish food can be prepared and how they create works of art with everyday ingredients.

The Good Food and Wine Show 2012 had absolutely everything you can think of from something sweet, spicy, hot, cold and even all of them combined creating a food experience very hard to explain.

 The highlight of our day was seeing celebrity chefs in action, cooking some of their signature dishes. Chefs such as Jenny Morris, Reza Muhammed, Whitney Miller and the famous Cake Boss, Buddy Valastro (who thinks milktart and koeksisters are absolutely delicious) were the main attraction to the event and entertained the crowds with their amazing skills.

 

The Good Food and Wine Show offered something for all ages which made it perfect for a family day out. Kiddies got to decorate their own cupcakes, wine lovers could enjoy tasting the country's best wines, food lovers could watch food demonstrations and for the party animals, the sparkling vodka bar offered their finest cocktails for everyone to enjoy (with great DJ music in the background!)

The Good Food and Wine Show 2012 lived up to all their expectations and Cape Town definitely went all out to make this year's show an amazing event. I would absolutely recommend this event for anyone who loves food and wine!
