GLAMOUR Stiletto Run 2012
17 March 2012
GLAMOUR magazine hosted their annual "GLAMOUR Stiletto Run" at the Table Bay Hotel in V&A Waterfront for the Cape Town event this Saturday. It is a day filled with sport, fun and laughter, all for a good cause, the Homestead Charity. Liezel van der Westhuizen, one of SA's favourite radio and television personalities was the MC of the day and added that extra touch of GLAMOUR in her Europa Art shoes...she made sure all the girls reached the finish line without breaking a heel!

In groups of 5, each girl gave their all- not only in concentrating not to fall down, but also to reach the big finish line and stand a chance to win some amazing prizes. (I'm sure all the girls thought if they had to go down, at least it will be glamorously!)

Every girl had the support of the crowd and it created a vibe that was supportive and very exciting - no one fell down or broke a shoe, but there was a cinderella that lost hers....wonder which prince charming will give it back to her!

Celebs and many cool sponsors also joined in the fun such as Elana Afrika (who took part in the celebrity race), Thin Lizzy Cocktails, Maybeline Make up, Oakley sunglasses, Garnier Products, Bar One, V&A Waterfront and Vitamin Water.

All the contestants received amazing goodie bags and the winners walked away with R20 000 worth of vouchers from the V&A Waterfront!

All the girls that took part are definitely winners in my eyes and I have lots of respect for running in high heels and doing it for charity - it is easier said that done....

What is better than a delicious sugar free Thin Lizzy cocktail to cool you down after the race...all the awards were handed out and this lucky lady won for the best heels!

Thanks to GLAMOUR magazine as well as Jill Grogor from Zebra Square for putting this fun filled event together for a great cause!
