Food Review: Maria's Greek Café & Restaurant
09 September 2017
If you are a personal friend of ours, chances are we've either told you about Maria's Greek Cafe and Restaurant in Cape Town or most likely, took you there for lunch or dinner. Maria's are one of our favourite restaurants and the reason being the food is consistent and to date we haven't tried a dish on their menu that we didn't like.

Cape Town rarely has those perfect summer days where it's not too hot, no wind and simply beautiful, but we chose to celebrate one of these perfect summer days at Maria's with fine wine and delicious food!

MAINS:
Ritza has this dish EVERY.SINGLE.TIME we visit Maria's. It's her fav!
Mussels steamed and sauteed in a sauce of cream, white wine, red onion, paprika and parsley.

Grilled Calamari Salad with lemon, chilli and garlic with Danish Feta, homemade mayo and salad leaves.

DESSERT:
You know those dessert you lie in bed thinking about? Well this one is what I dream about at night. Definitely one of my top 5 desserts in Cape Town.
"Ravani" - Moist semolina cake soaked in lemon honey syrup, with cream.
Maria's Greek Cafe and Restaurant always deliver on quality food and ingredients. I will admit that the serve is not always up to par and you must bring your patience along to the meal, but we highly recommend them to foodies in Cape Town!
