In Cape Town, brunch on a Saturday is a must and seeing that we still have beautiful summer weather, the perfect spot for a delicious, healthy and gourmet brunch is Voila Restaurant in Bantry Bay. This weekend Ritza and I went to this little gem to try out their food and to share with you exactly what they had to offer!

Weekends are made for cocktails, and I started my day off with a frozen Mango Daiquiry and a freshly squeezed passion fruit and orange juice.

The menu has a great variety of different dishes and with it being such a difficult choice choosing only one, I decided to break the meal up into starters, mains and dessert just to give you guys a better idea of what you can expect at Voila Restaurant.

For starters we had a spicy Moroccan Beef Salad with rare roast beef, chick peas, rosa tomatoes, feta and mint leaves with a zesty dressing and it was absolutely delicious with great flavour. The perfect summer salad.

For mains we enjoyed some of Voila!'s most popular dishes and they definitely come highly recommended. I had the Philadelphian Gourmet sandwich with smoked salmon trout, red onions, cucumber, tomato, cream cheese and caper berries all on a soft ciabata - food heaven!

Ritza had their famous fish cakes that are made from salmon and served with peppery rocket and avocado salad and a lemon aioli. It is refreshingly light and perfect if you are health concious.

Voila! Restaurant is not only a restaurant with delicious food, but they also have all the perks of a deli with most of their food being homemade from freshly baked bread, to 100% freshly squeezed juice and of course my personal favourite, homemade sweet treats! I could not resist having something sweet and their lemon meringue is absolutely perfect (do not choose to share this as it is just to amazing and will end up wanting your own anyway!)
