Join us for a trip to the Mediterranean!

Headquarters restaurant, situated on Shortmarket St. in the heart of Cape Town’s cosmopolitan city centre, is launching their latest Apertivo Board pairing menu on Wed 27 August. The delectable Mediterranean inspired Apertivo pairing board will run for the months of September through December, 2014.

The boards comprise a combo of four signature HQ cocktails paired with four generously sized tapas integrating Mediterranean Delicacies’ ingredients prepared in HQ’s unique culinary style.

HQ and Medi Deli are inviting a small group of foodies to join the new Apertivo menu launch where Mum-z and the masterminds behind this gastronomic infusion will take us through the pairing notes.

Three Medi Deli and HQ hampers are up for grabs on the night, driven by a fun, interactive quiz.

The event commences at 6:30. Expect an evening of eats, drinks and laughs with a flavourful twist!

My all time favorite is chickpea humus with naan bread or freshly baked bread and some tzatziki on the side...would go nicely with the Unmarried Japanese Woman cocktail I think :-)

My favourite "char-grilled anti-pasto mix" (peppers, artichoke and olives) on fresh baked, crusty olive bread (first spread thinly with Medi Deli creamy pepperdew dip/spread) and I would pair this with a chilled "white wine Sangria" - Summer is coming and this would make for an awesome starter with friends sitting around the pool.. I would pair hummus and green olives in peppeadews with a delicious and fresh Mojito. The mint will balance out the heat of he peppadews and compliment the tahini in the hummus. Can't go wrong with that

I am a HUGE med appetiser fan and really am finding it very difficult to choose one - olives, tzatiki, flat breads, humus, feta - Ahhhh my mouth is watering just thinking about it.....I think throughout indulging in the platter, I would swap between HG Watering Can and the Luxury Lemon Drop (my absolute faves)......Cant wait! Pick me ;-)
