The best part about Winter in Cape Town is the amazing food experiences in beautiful restaurants. Think cosy fireplaces, hearty food and of course a cocktail or two! If this sounds like your vibe, look no further than The Supper Club hosted at Blanko Restaurant.
Blanko Restaurant, situated at The Alphen Boutique Hotel in Constantia is a beautiful space where food meets art. We were invited for a dining experience with Haig Club Clubman Whisky where they paired a 3 course dinner with this modern whisky.
If you are not familiar with Haig Club Clubman Whisky, it is not your ordinary spirit. Forget all the rules about whisky with this fresh, clean style that showcases butterscotch and toffee for an ultra-smooth taste to be enjoyed not only by current whisky drinkers, but also by those who have always wanted to try whisky.
Would you pair your whisky with Coca-Cola? Well we had whisky and cola as a welcome drink and surprisingly I loved it...

At the start of the night I was a bit sceptical about liking whisky as it's not really my drink of choice, but after enjoying these cocktails and pairing it with incredible food, I will definitely say that I will now confidently order whisky at a bar or restaurant to enjoy on a chilly Winter's night!
