With Valentines Day taking place on Thursday, Leozette from Red Carpet Concepts invited me to try out the soy candle massage at Equinox Spa situated in the Cape Royale Hotel. Obviously the first thought that came to mind was to send girlfriend, Ritza van Rensburg, for a bit of pre-valentines pampering and here is what she had to say about this "out of body massage experience"!
"To give you an idea of what a soy candle massage is, it is a massage with the wax of soy candles and it contains lots of vitamin E and essential oils that deeply condition the skin and leave your skin fabulously soft.
The flavours of my soy candle massage was vanilla and raspberries which not only smelt incredible on my skin but also gave it a gorgeous glow. For an entire hour I was transformed into another world with the amazing atmosphere created at Equinox spa from the music to the dark calming room. The massage was extremely relaxing and it is definitely something I will be back for very soon!
TIP: You can also request this soy candle wax to be used with your hot stone therapy treatments at the spa!"
If you are still struggling to think of a romantic way to spoil your loved one, Equinox Spa has got you covered! For the month of February they are offering a couples spa package for R1600 which includes: a relaxing full body warm soy candle massage, invigorating scalp massage and hot stone foot massage ending with a hot compress with fresh fruit and a glass bubbly to be enjoyed afterward.
Thanks to Equinox Spa and Red Carpet Concepts for this lovely relaxing treat!
