This year is flying by and I haven’t had the time to do a blog post in a while, but I’ve been spoilt by various makeup and skincare brands in the past few months and found some amazing products that has changed my skin, improved my makeup and are now “must-have” items in my beauty routine. All these items are tried and tested over a few weeks and as you know, I believe in honest reviews, so feel free to invest in any of these products (they’re all worth it!)
I cannot recommend this product enough. I started using this product about 3 months ago and my skin has completely transformed. I could actually start seeing results after about 2 weeks but I’ve been using it every morning and night and cannot imagine my skincare routine without it.
This serum targets the 10 key signs of youth and is perfect for smoother, more radiant skin. If you had to choose one product from this list - invest in this serum - it’s worth every penny!
I never really bothered with neck cream, but as I’m growing closer to reaching 30, I realize that my neck is quite dry, the lines are more prominent and no has time for turkey neck, which is why I love this neck cream from Theravine. It’s rich, creamy and I use it daily on my neck and décolletage area - I also love that they are a local brand and I’ll always support local brands!
3. Payot Techni Liss Booster:
This is a plumping smoothing gel with hyaluronic acid and besides smelling amazing - I've been using it for more than a month now and love that it keeps my skin super hydrated and leave it feeling fresh and pampered. A little goes a long way with this product, which makes it worth investing in. I apply this before my daily moisturiser and definitely think this step in my skincare routine makes a difference in the texture of my skin.
4. Catrice Cosmetics Colour Correcting Pen:
I use the “Lavender” pen for brightening and it’s been one of my favorites to keep the under eye bright and highlighted. It’s easy to use and I love the fact that you don’t waste product with this. Definitely something to invest in if you travel a lot or do minimal makeup.
5. Catrice Cosmetics Matt and Glow Brow Palette:
This little palette has a wax and a powder that you can use to create the perfect brow. I haven’t really used the shimmer brow shadow in the palette, but I love the wax and dark brown powder with the applicator - it’s always in my handbag for touch-ups!
6. Catrice Cosmetics Liquid Lip Powder:
This sounds like something I would never use, but I received the shade “Metal Matt” (a rose gold shade) and I love it! I use it as eyeshadow seeing as it has a matte finish and stays all day or I blend it with a nude lipstick (just in the middle of my lip) to give it that frosty, glossy look without being glossy. It’s a great little trick for making your lips look bigger as well, if you have small lips like me!
7. Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick:
I’ve seen Gerard Cosmetics all over Instagram for a long time, but I’ve never tried it. 27Pinkx sent me some of these and the formula (and smell) of this product is amazing! If you wear liquid lipstick and like a matte look - invest in this product. It doesn’t budge for at least 12 hours (I have friends that can actually vouch for this!) and it doesn’t crumble or fade during the day. Jeffrey Star used to be my favourite formula, but this one is right up there as one the best liquid lipstick formulas I’ve tried (and I’ve tried them all from Kylie Lip Kit to Huda Beauty).
8. Swiitch Beauty TaupeNotch Palette:
I've mentioned before that I'm not very adventurous with my eye makeup and like more neutral tones. The TaupeNotch palette by Swiitch Beauty goes everywhere with me. I use it all the time and it makes my green eyes pop! It's such good value for money and whether you like more minimal makeup or dramatic makeup, I definitely suggest investing in this palette. They are also local beauty babes which makes me love them even more!
8. Caribbean Tan Milk and Honey Hydrating Body Butter
Caribbean Tan Body Butter has been a favorite of mine for years (especially during summer when we are all tried out from sun tanning) but it recently launched new packaging and is now in a tube - which I definitely prefer to the tub - girls with long nails will understand the struggle.
It smells amazing and it’s a must when you’re packing for your December holiday.
Thank you to each of these brands for supporting my blog and sending me these lovely products to review - if you have any questions about any of these products, please leave a comment - I’ll be happy to answer it!
Here’s to happy skin and flawless makeup!
