Celebrating a Love for Food with Tables @ Nitida
04 November 2020
Nitida is one of the first wine farms I supported when I moved to Cape Town and it has always been a go-to for us when we have friends of family visiting! It's such a family driven farm that has a special place in our heart!
We recently popped into Tables@Nitida (which quite a few people don't even know about) for the most amazing meal and if you have children or are looking for a place to socialize and enjoy the beauty of a wine estate - Tables is perfect! They have a big play area for kids and even though the venue is more casual, the food is still simply spectacular!

STARTERS:
No visit to a wine farm is complete without a cheese board and I can say this without a shadow of a doubt that Tables has one of the best cheese platters I've ever tasted - it's not just cheese and random fruit on a plate, almost every item on the cheese board has been made from scratch.

Tables Meat & Cheese
Sharing charcuterie platter with a selection of cold meats, salami stick, biltong, seasonal fruit, 3 cheeses, Hillcrest olives, and a selection of homemade preserves with a freshly baked ciabatta
MAINS:
Their selection of mains are actually divine! It's comfort food with a twist and I must say their burgers looked insanely delicous! These were our options and they were every bit as delicious as they were pretty to look at !

Wet Aged Coffee & Cocoa Rubbed Sirloin
250g wet aged coffee & cocoa rubbed Sirloin with a Cognac peppercorn cream sauce, Chef’s salad and BBQ salted hand cut skinny fries

Tables Pulled Pork Toasted Ciabatta
Tables BBQ pulled pork toasted ciabatta with pickled red cabbage, caramelized apple mayo, fontina, topped with onion crisp, served with a side of BBQ salted hand cut skinny fries and a tangy southern style slaw - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
DESSERT:
The best part of any meal! These sweet treats were beautifully presented and we both loved the Banana Split - it was amazing!

Caramelized Banana Split - HOW PRETTY IS THIS!
Caramelized banana split with salted rum caramel with a rum & raisin ice cream and pecan brittle

White Chocolate and Matcha Green-Tea Blondies
Creamy Pumpkin Pie Vegan Mousse with layers of salted pecan crumble, finished off with a gingersnap cookie
Overall our experience at Tables were simply divine! I definitely encourage all my Cape Town friends to choose a bright sunny day and go for a glass of wine and a Cheese Board at Nitida - you won't be disappointed!
Thank you so much for having us Tables @ Nitida!
